Great, that was good info... but going back to your first post, when you said the 4th harmonic, is that the torsional harmonics? I don't think any of the traverse vibration modes are damped except through the main bearings. As I understand it, the forces that arise from imbalances from the 4th torsional harmonic (the driving frequency) could be exciting/driving the 1st traverse harmonic.
